Conference Washington D.C.

11 September 2014
Library of Congress, Washington D.C.
Thursday, September 10-12, 2014 - 13:30 to 17:00

Do Religious Freedom and Human Rights Clash in Today’s Democracies?

We at the Transatlantic Christian Council, the Acton Institute, Alliance Defending Freedom, Renaissance Partnership for Faith and Culture, Cardus, CitizenLink and the Colson Center would be honored to count you among our guests on September 11 in Washington D.C.

The conference, featuring Italian Member of Parliament Rocco Buttiglione and Member of Congress Frank Wolf, will focus on the growing clash between religious freedom and the secularized view of human rights in our societies today.

Join us for an exciting afternoon of networking and debate that is open to all who share a belief in human dignity and liberty.

The conference program is attached. The event starts at 1:30 and ends at 4:00, followed by a reception until 5:00. Participants provide their own transportation and accommodation.

For our European participants we will organize a series of meetings prior to the conference, on the afternoon of September 10 and the morning of September 11. We will meet with European ambassadors to the U.S., members of Congress and their staff, the European Affairs Bureau of the State Department and leaders of major Washington think tanks. If possible, we will also attend a commemoration ceremony of the 9/11/2001 attack on the Pentagon.
