The Gold Cross of Merit from Hungary for CCI director Henk Jan van Schothorst

Henk Jan van Schothorst, executive director of the Christian Council International, received at September 6, 2022 the Gold Cross of Merit of Hungary, in recognition of his support for Hungary, as well as his untiring work to promote Hungarian family policy in the Netherlands and protect Europe’s Judeo-Christian heritage. The cross was handed over by the Hungarian ambassador to the Netherlands, András Koscis.

THE HAGUE. Hungarian Ambassador Andras Kocsis (l.) presented the Gold Cross of Merit to Henk Jan van Schothorst (r.) on Sept. 6. On behalf of Christian Council International (CCI), Van Schothorst is committed to Christian family values. Following the revolt in the European Union over the Hungarian Child Protection Act, he sent his appreciation to the government in Budapest. The ambassador expressed his appreciation for Van Schothorst, who had introduced him to the Dutch Biblebelt. "There I don't have to explain what conservatism or patriotism is," he said.
